The Friends of Pontesford Hill want everyone to enjoy their visit. There are a number of things you can do to help us look after the hill.
Here are just a few simple ways you can do your bit:
- Don’t leave litter:
We ask that you ensure no litter is left on the hill. Not only is it unattractive to look at, but it can be dangerous to wildlife, dogs and visitors. Either take it home or put it in the bin (found at the entrance to the car park).
- Be a responsible dog walker:
While dogs are welcome on the hill, we ask that you pick up after them. Do not leave poo bags on the hill. Not only is it unpleasant for visitors, but it can be harmful to wildlife. Please dispose of any waste in the car park bin.Any dog poo left on the track should be flicked away. Also, because sheep and cattle graze on and around the hills, we ask that you keep dogs on leads.
- Become a ‘Friend’:
You can support our activities by joining us as a Friend of Pontesford Hill. For more information, visit our Become a friend page.
- Volunteer work parties: If you are keen to get involved with some practical conservation and management, then why not join one of our volunteer work parties. Everyone is welcome.
